Our Winemaker Dinner series kicks off with a special dinner featuring Chef Tana Mielke, Chef and Owner of Votano Restaurant. Growing up on a small farm in western Washington, Tana has had a strong connection to sustainable food from the beginning. A degree in biological sciences led to a career in finance operations which provided the opportunity to travel to Europe and re-introduce Chef Mielke to her love of cooking. Leaving the corporate world behind with a move to Greece in 2009, she immersed herself in the culture and was inspired by the simplicity of Greek cuisine. She returned to Seattle in 2011 with a focus to re-create her experiences. At Votano, her restaurant set to open later this year, is a coming together of fresh local ingredients coupled with Greek hospitality.
We’ll kick off the evening with a winery tour led by our winemaking team and an insiders’ look into harvest. Following the tour, guests are seated in our Hangar Lounge where Chef Mielke will prepare a multi-course Mediterranean inspired dinner creatively paired with Dunham Cellars wines!
