Marinated Shrimp on Rosemary Branches

MARINATED SHRIMP ON ROSEMARY BRANCHES

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 ½ cups olive oil
• 8 cloves garlic
• 36 large shrimp
• 12 rosemary branches, 6” long
• Sea salt, coarsely ground
• Black pepper, coarsely ground

WINE PAIRING:

2013 Wine Club Cabernet Franc

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Peel and coarsely chop garlic cloves. Peel and devein shrimp. Sharpen the thicker end of the rosemary branches and soak in water for 1 hour. Combine olive oil and garlic in a large shallow pan. Set aside ½ cup and add shrimp. Let shrimp marinate 2 hours. Thread 3 marinated shrimp on each rosemary branch. Cook (or BBQ) on medium high heat until flesh is opaque, brush with reserve marinade and turn occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
