LYNN LUNDENShirley Mays Semillon 2002 - This year we pay special tribute to Lynn Lunden, a very dear friend and breast cancer survivor. Lynn makes Walla Walla her home, where she lives with her husband Gary. Lynn was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997, but through rigorous treatment, including lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and continued hormone therapy, Lynn has been in remission for 5 years, and her doctors tell her that there is well under 10% chance of reoccurrence.
Today Lynn works at Whitman College as a Development Officer and Director of Parents Programs. Her hard work and exceptional positive attitude make her a role model and an inspiration to everyone who meets her. Lynn 's message is "Do not be afraid to reach out. There are people just waiting for you to ask for help, like the Komen Foundation." We are proud to have Lynn in our community and in our lives.
